Know What Works For You In Your Marriage

As a married woman, you need to know what works for you and the understanding between you and your spouse, then follow it up. What works for Mrs. A May not work for Mrs. B, vice versa. Some wash their husband's clothes and it works for them. Others don't and amazingly it works for them too. Some cook for their husband and it works for them. others don't and shockingly, it works for them. Some are full time house wife and it works perfectly for them. others are not and trust me, it also works for them. Some know their husband cheats and it works for them. others don't know and don't want to know and it works for them. Some contribute to the upkeep of their home and it works for them, others don't and it also works for them. Some are in distance relationship and it works for them, others are in a close relationship and it works for them. Some sleep in the same room and it works for them, others don't and amazingly it works for them. Every relationship ...

Things You Never Knew About Your Belly Button!

Image
DID YOU KNOW? Our belly button (NABHI )   is an amazing gift given to us by our creator. A 62 year old man had poor vision in his left eye. He could hardly see especially at night and was told by eye specialists that his eyes were in a good condition but the only problem was that the veins supplying blood to his eyes were dried up and he would never be able to see again. According to Science, the first part created after conception takes place is the belly button. After it’s created, it joins to the mother’s placenta through the umbilical chord.  Our belly button is surely an amazing thing! According to science, after a person has passed away, the belly button is still warm for 3 hours the reason being that when a woman conceives a child, her belly button supplies nourishment to the child through the child’s belly button. And a fully grown child is formed in 270 days = 9 months. This is the reason all our veins are connected to our belly button which makes it ...

Dangers Of Child Favouritism

Image
He sat in court, holding his hand in his head & weeping quietly. Those around him looked at him in pity & those who did not know the reason for this, wondered why a grown man was weeping openly. For Mr. James Jackson, his life had just crumbled before him like a pack of cards. He who had two sons that were born on the same day, had suddenly become childless. Two years ago, the first of the twin was brutally murdered, while he was being inducted alongside others as a medical doctor. Today, the court sentenced his only surviving son & child to die by the hangman’s noose. Why? He had pulled the trigger that sent his twin brother & only sibling to his untimely grave. He murdered his own blood in cold blood. He had simply walked into the venue of the event, shot into the air to attract attention & walked over to where his brother was sitting. Whilst the poor twin brother looked at him in shock & confusion, he shot him point blank in the ...

Example Of A Dilemma We Face in Decision Making

A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other not. Only one child played on the unused track, the rest on the operational track. A train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange. You can make the train change its course to the unused track and save most of the kids. However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the unused track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go its way? Let's take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make................ have u thought enough !!!! Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child. Save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally. But, have you ever thought that the child chose to play on the unused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place? Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his i...

MARRY YOUR MATE: By Kionionnia wit Apostle Joshua Selman.

6 MATES YOU MUST MARRY One of the ways your marriage will not add to the rate of divorce in our world today is for you to marry your mate and if you are married already, make your spouse your mate! You see that statement of ' Am I your mate?' does not apply in marriage. You must marry your mate. I will like to talk on seven dimensions you and the person you want to marry or you have married must be mate. 1.MARRY_YOUR_SPEAKING_MATE Marry someone you can speak together and understand each other. Communication is very crucial in marriage. Don't marry someone that, when you are saying 'A' he or she will be saying ' Z' Once there is dichotomy in your speaking and understanding level, you can't enjoy that marriage. So many men go to bar to hang out with friends and gist till 11pm because they know their wives can't engage in any meaningful intellectual discussion. So many women too prefer to hang out with their friends, because they know their husbands...

7 Common Mistakes You Probably Make In The Bathroom

Image
The toilet is one of the most used part but least taken care of. Bathroom etiquette is essential for a healthy living space so here they are._ There are some of the things you thought you were doing right but trust me after going through this list, you'll be surprised. 1. Flushing the toilet while the lid is up According to Charles Gerba, a microbiologist from the University of Arizona, Fecal matter and urine can fly as far as six feet away from the toilet bowl during each flush. Close the lid before you flush to keep those gross particles in your toilet and out of the air. 2. Sitting on the toilet seat too long People tend to use their toilet time to read or study books, magazines or scroll through social media. Sitting on the ceramic throne for too long can cause hemorrhoids because the seated position places a lot of pressure on the veins in your lower rectum which can swell or bulge. The most common symptom of hemorrhoids is rectal bleeding but you may ...

How To Inspire Manners In Your Children

Image
1. When entering the house greet your children or even hug them. This should help develop their sense of love and self worth. 2. Be good to your neighbours and never backbite. Never speak ill of other drivers when on the road. Your children would listen, absorb and emulate. 3. When calling your parents, encourage your children to speak to them. When visiting your parents take your children with you. The more they see you take care of your parents the more they will learn to take care of you. 4. When driving them to school, don't always play albums or cds in the car. Rather, tell them some motivational stories yourself. This will have a greater impact - trust me! 5. Read to them a short story and even a scripture a day – it doesn't take much time, but very impactful in creating strong bonds and wonderful memories. 6. Comb your hair, clean your teeth and wear presentable cloths even if sitting at home and not going out for the day. They need to learn that...

Filling Stations In Anambra Go On Strike!

Rumours have been going on about filling stations going on strike in Anambra state but the stories have been confirmed. I first noticed the queues on different filling stations on my way back from the bank earlier today and I was wondering what was going on when the driver of the Keke I boarded said that the filling stations would go on strike starting from tomorrow. As if that wasn't enough, when I reached home, I overheard Popsy talking to someone on phone telling him/her that there's an impending strike going on. He called me shortly after and gave me  #2000 to go and buy fuel saying that he wasn't sure if the filling stations would be open by tomorrow. When I got to the filling station nearest to my house, to say that what I witnessed was a queue is an understatement, you needed to see the number of vehicles and people parked at the station waiting for their turn to buy petrol. The funniest part of it was that none of them was buying petrol less than #1000. Some we...

New Yam Festival

Image
The Ifedi family where Yours Truly happens to arise from, celebrated their New Yam Festival on the 5th of August. We celebrated it in a grand style as Popsy bought chicken, garden eggs and palm wine. Being the last born of the family or rather the only girl in the family that was "Less Busy" at the time (Kene already signed out and was busy with her laptop).  The task fell on me to do the cooking...Me and me alone! It was quite challenging to do the whole family cooking as Popsy invited some of our relatives and family friends. If it was a normal Sunday Rice and stew that would be eaten by just my immediate family, it would have been better but here the reverse was the case. I was just worrying too much unlike me...what if the stew turns out to be too watery or too salty? what if the yam gets too soft? what if this...what if that. At a stage I was like haba Zaram what's your problem? why are you behaving as if it's your first time in the Kitchen? this i...

Miracle!! Woman With Two Wombs Delivers Twins Successfully

Image
NAIJ.com came across the story of Jennifer Ashwood who had no idea she had two wombs until she discovered she was pregnant with twins - with one in each.  According to mirror.co.uk, Jennifer gave birth to her one-in-500million twins Poppy and Piran House by C-section just months after discovering she had a rare 'heart shaped' uterus. The 31-year-old said her body has surprised her as there was no indication she had two wombs when she gave birth to her first child Millie who is now eight.  Doctors told her it was so rare to carry a baby in each one, they didn't quite know what was going to happen until they opened her up. They then told Jennifer and partner Andrew House the chances of having twins in this way was one-in-500 million.  Naij.com
